Public data · evidence links · explicit uncertainty

Small independent tools for following how systems change.

BadJoke-Lab builds archives, registries, dashboards, and monitoring tools. The projects focus on historical change, current operating state, source traceability, and the gaps that remain unresolved.

Current projects

Archives, observatories, and utilities

Each public project has its own scope and methodology. Projects are grouped below by their primary purpose.

Operating principles

What the projects try to preserve

Source traceability

Material claims should lead back to identifiable sources rather than anonymous summaries.

History before snapshots

Current state matters, but so do migrations, closures, incidents, rebrands, restrictions, and unresolved transitions.

Explicit uncertainty

Unknown, incomplete, disputed, and not-yet-reviewed information should remain visible instead of being silently filled in.

No implied recommendation

Registries and dashboards describe recorded conditions. They are not investment, safety, or legal recommendations.

About the lab

An independent, small-scale publishing and software project.

BadJoke-Lab is maintained independently. Repositories, issue trackers, and public methodology pages are used to document implementation and correction work. Project-specific coverage and limitations are described on each site.
